We have an Award!!

In my previous entry, I mentioned that we knew we are not going to win anything in LTA2006 (Life! Theatre Award, not Land Transport Authority), and we went just for the food.

Turns out that we did win something. We got the Best Ensemble Cast. It's a 50% hit. Getting one award out of 2 nominations isn't too bad...I was so excited about attending LTA that afterwards I forgot to watch the Oscar's re-telecast when I got home..Sorry, I have small brain, can only contain a finite amount of stuff and that night, my mind is just too full of LTA.

Actually, I'm more excited about Goh Guat Kian's Best Actress award. Cos she is one of my favourite stage performer. She should have gotten this long time ago. So happy for her that she is finally recognised with an award.

And Darren Ng's Best Sound...He is really getting more and more chrismatic. I don't remember being so charmed by him when I first knew him back in 2000...He has somehow grown to become a real worth-swooning-over material. When I was watching Twisted last year, I was more capivated by him performing on his keyboard in the background (he was the sound designer and live background music performer) and I wasn't paying as much attention on the actresses and puppets on stage :P

The food at the LTA2006 reception after the award ceremony was superb, though the reception area is a bit cramp with more than half the theatre people turning up for the event. Adrian Pang was darn hilarious as the host of the ceremony; definitely even better than Billy Crystal at the Oscar's. I look forward to see him in action at next year's LTA.

P.S. If you are a fellow blogger, please help out a friend of mine at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=53431839194. Thanks a lot!
